Gem Scoop -  Family Fun in Cornwall

Gemscoop is all about rocks, fossils, minerals and gems, whether its participating in our fun activity scooping for gems in our blue sand troughs, or browsing for gifts in the shop.
We have stock specimen rocks from all over the world, and also those that are specifically Cornish. A range of gem gifts is on offer with something for all ages and budgets.

In the troughs
Did you realise that the sharks shed teeth the way we shed hair? You can search for a fossilised sharks tooth from Morocco in the gemscoop sand. The teeth are approximately 135 million years old. Every child is guaranteed to receive a fossilised sharks tooth, also you keep all the gems you can find.

In the Shop
One section in the shop deals with healing. magnets have been recognised as having healing properties, particularly with joint problems such as arthritis. We have a section of magnetic rock and jewellery which many believe help sufferers with arthritis, rheumatism and blood circulation problems. There are also many different minerals in stock which may help with sleep, skin and stress.
